A Warrior Behind A Sweet Child
” I was quite but not blind. “
– Jane Austin
While I am young, I really don’t know what world means because as a little girl, every single thing around me are just toys and it was my happiness in my childhood days. But as time goes by when I entered the hardest stage of every girl’s life – being TEENAGER, many problems came that made my life so complicated.
At first, I thought it wouldn’t be hard for me to conquer those problems but I failed. It definitely challenged me as a student and as a teenager. I experienced too much hunger and had lack of sleep due to mountain of school works and presentations to the next day. But at the same time, it triggered my emotions and led me to have a hard time to finish and do my duties and responsibilities as a student as well as a daughter.
I became moody and impatience because of the pressure I felt from my siblings. They were so talented unlike me, and they had higher grades than mine so my parents are always comparing me to them and told me that I am the most brainless and pathetic child of them. Yes, it hurts me so much I didn’t spill it out and until now, they were unaware of what and how I feel about it. As a result, I became unsatisfied to myself and thought that they were right.
But I kept all those painful words from them and suddenly someone came into my life. And made me realized that I am not useless, I must be satisfied to myself because I have my own skills and talents, I must trust and love myself first before others, and lastly, I must always keep in my mind that the Lord have His own plans and reasons for everything, just trust His ways.
I was quiet but not blind, I can see and feel anything. Yes, it was indeed that I may be hurt and be in pain but I was stronger than that because I have Him in my heart always. I can give anything to anyone but not all of you is deserving to be anyone.
And as this brief blog of mine ends, I want you to be you – be yourself, because no one is better than you to be you, and be a Warrior Behind a Sweet Child. Thank you!
